
FIRE PREVENTION

The Fire Prevention Bureau (FPB) is primarily responsible for enforcing all aspects of the Ohio Fire Code (OFC), which was adopted by the City of Wickliffe on July 12, 2006. The OFC addresses new and existing construction and operations. The FPB also utilizes National Fire Protection Association Standards where referenced by the OFC. In addition to the OFC, the FPB enforces specifications for the installation of fire protection systems including, but not limited to, fire alarms, sprinklers, standpipes, fire hydrants, and fire lanes. This document also outlines the Division's fire prevention plan, which guides implementation of the community's fire defense program.
